Estimating Three-Dimensional Motion Parameters
نویسنده
چکیده
We show that the three-dimensional (3-D) motion parameters of a rigid planar patch can be determined by computing the singular value decomposition (SVD) of a 3 X 3 matrix containiig the eight so called “pure parameters.” Furthermore, aside from a scale factor for the translation parameters, the number of solutions is either one or two, depending on the multiplicity of the singular values of the matrix.

Maximum-likelihood motion estimation of a human face
An algorithm for estimating the three-dimensional motion of a human face from a monocular image sequence is investigated. For motion estimation, the shape of a human face is described by a three-dimensional rigid triangular mesh and its motion by six parameters: one three-dimensional translation vector and three rotation angles. The motion parameters are estimated by maximizing the conditional ...
متن کاملThree-dimensional structure calculation: achieving accuracy without calibration
This paper addresses the problem of computing the camera motion and the three-dimensional structure of a scene using two uncalibrated images as inputs. The camera motion is calculated by estimating the essential matrix and using approximate values, easily available, for the intrinsic parameters. The classical eight-point algorithm to calculate the essential matrix is known to be very sensitive ...
متن کاملLinear Consistency Models for Motion Estimation
In this paper we introduce a fast, linear method for estimating the motion parameters of an image sequence. For a sequence of images, a redundant set of two frame motion estimates can be computed. Due to the presence of noise, diierent two frame motion estimates will not be consistent with each other. However, the redundant set provides an overconstrained linear system of equations which can be...
متن کاملA Method for Estimating Rigid Object Motion Using Regularized Scene Flow
In this paper, we propose a method for estimating object motion by three-dimensional scene flow using multiple cameras. The scene flow is regularized by applying subspace constraints and then object motion is estimated using RANSAC estimation. Regularizing the scene flow using subspace constraints results in highly accurate scene flow because it eliminates the effect of noise caused by computin...
متن کاملESTIMATING THE STRONG-MOTION OF THE DECEMBER 26, 2003 BAM (IRAN), EARTHQUAKE USING STOCHASTIC TECHNIQUES
Abstract : The main objective of this study is estimating the strong motion for the Bam region using the stochastically based seismological models. The two widely used synthetic techniques namely point-source and finite-fault were utilized incorporating the source-path and site parameters into simple function. The decay factor kappa was estimated based on the data obtained from recorded stron...
